Know Your Fire Ratings
Building Regulations specify the use of fire resistant materials in all public buildings including schools, hospitals and government buildings 1.
This means that noticeboards must be fire rated to BS476 Part 7 Class 1 in offices, rooms and classrooms.
In corridors and stairwells, noticeboards must comply with Class B EN 13501 (an equivalent to Class 0).

Class 1 Fire rated Noticeboards 
Our Pitts Premier Felt, Charles Twite, Camira Cara and Camira Lucia, and Corded Hessian fabrics are all fire rated and we can provide fire certificates certified to BS476 Part 7 Class 1.
*Tamperproof lockable noticeboards include a BS476-Part 1 Class 1 fire rated polycarbonate cover.
Class 1 Fire rated Whiteboards
Our High Pressure Laminate Whiteboards (PHP) which are non-magnetic, are Class 1 Fire Rated with bonding to a substrate.
Class B Fire Rated Noticeboards (also known as Class 0)
Pitts Polycolour FR® Class B Noticeboard range is fire tested to BS EN 13501-1:2007+A1: 2009.
Available in six different colours and three frames, it is a versatile
product which is also recyclable in the PET waste stream.
We also offer Class B fabric covered noticeboard made with a Class B fire rated backing board and covered with fire rated fabric - Pitts Premier Felt, Charles Twite, Camira Cara and Camira Lucia and Corded Hessian - composite board tested to Class B EN 13501.

Class B Fire rated Whiteboards
Pitts Vitreous Enamel Steel Whiteboards (PVES) are fired twice to 800 degrees and are Class B fire rated. They can also be used as a low gloss projection whiteboard.
