Know Your Fire Ratings
Building Regulations specify the use of fire resistant materials in all public buildings including schools, hospitals and government buildings 1.
The regulations stipulate that all noticeboards must be fire rated to Class B BS EN 13501.1 (previously referred to as Class 0)*.
We offer noticeboards, tamperproof lockable noticeboards and whiteboards which meet this standard.
1. Noticeboards - Class B BS EN1501 Fire Rated
Pitts Polycolour FR® Class B range is fire tested to BS EN 13501-1:2007+A1: 2009. Available in a range of colours and three finishes (aluminium frame/wood frames/unframed), it also has acoustic properties and is recyclable in the PET waste stream.
Our Charles Twite, Camira Cara and Camira Lucia fabric noticeboards and tamperproof lockable noticeboards are also fire rated to Class B BS EN13501.1
Class B fabric covered noticeboards made with a Class B fire rated backing board and covered with fire rated fabric are also available - Pitts Premier Felt, Nyloop, Universe, Agua Anti-Microbial and Corded Hessian (Mac 23) - composite board tested to Class B EN 13501.1

2. Whiteboards - Class B BS EN1501 Fire Rated
Pitts Premium Magnetic Whiteboards (PCS) are fire rated to Class B BS EN13501.1
Pitts Vitreous Enamel Steel Whiteboards (PVES) are fired twice to 800 degrees and are Class B fire rated. They can also be used as a low gloss projection whiteboard.
